Pastor’s Page

Rev. Larry J. Daniel is a native of Memphis, TN.  He received his B.A. from Lambuth University and a Masters of Divinity degree from Emory University in Atlanta.  He has two children, Mark, a safety and environmental engineer in Winston Salem, N.C., and Lauren, a nurse in Memphis.

Rev. Daniel has served churches throughout the Memphis Conference and has been Pastor at Lexington First United Methodist Church since June 2010.  He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Lambuth University and a member of the Lexington Rotary Club.

An avid Civil War enthusiast, Rev. Daniel has had five books published on the subject that have sold over 80,000 copies.  His book “Shiloh: The Battle That Changed the Civil War” was published by Simon & Schuster of New York and won the Book-of-the-Month Club.  He has appeared twice on the History Channel.
