Karyl Fisher, Church Business Administrator Contact
Karyl is a native Chicagoan but has always had southern roots. Her parents live in Lexington, TN, and most of her family is from the Dyer, TN area. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Criminal Justice at Chicago State University. She worked for 12 yrs. at the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration, where she met her husband Phil. They have six adult children and five grandchildren. Karyl, Phil, Jennifer, Amanda and Michael joined FUMC in 1993.
Karyl has served at Lexington FUMC for 10-1/2 yrs. and is responsible for the day to day business and financial operations of the church. Karyl serves on the Stewardship and Facilities Teams and assists the Staff-Parish Relations Team as requested. She is team leader for our Lexington FUMC Family & Friends E-Mail Prayer Ministry.
Lisa Thomas, Ministry Coordinator Contact
As Ministry Coordinator Lisa encourages and assists ministry team leaders. Currently at FUMC there are 52 active ministry teams. Lisa also serves on the Leadership Council, Emerging Ministries Dream Team, Confirmation Team, Worship Team, Red Bird Mission Team, Drama Team, and Angel Tree. She is team leader of Acolytes, Small Groups, Vacation Bible School, Wednesday Night Fellowship, Fifth Quarter, and Walk Through Bethlehem.
Beau Sage, Music Director Contact
Beau is a Jackson, TN native that graduated from Lambuth University in 2009 with a B.M. In college he studied classical guitar under Tom Price, performed with the university jazz band under Dr. Derek Jones, sang with the Lambuth Choir under Dr. Ross Bernhardt, and studied music production under Dr. Brandon Goff. From 2007 -2011 he served for as a music intern for Northside United Methodist Church under the discretion of Mitzi Mathenia and in 2013 became a co-worship leader for the contemporary service. He is married to his wife Rebecca Gaskill Sage and they have a daughter Emma Gaskill.
Ellen is a born and raised native to Lexington, has been playing piano for 37 years, and has served as the church pianist for several years. During her college years she studied at the University of TN in Martin where she obtained her bachelor’s in education. She works as a special education teacher for Westover Elementary School for Henderson County, and has two children, Ethan and Audrey.
Chris is a retired Navy veteran who served as a Radioman. It is here at FUMC where she married her husband Ted. After her husband’s passing she moved back to TN to be near his mother Betty Hay Dill, and has been volunteering ever since. Chris and Ted have three children, a daughter, Carey, and two sons, Caleb and Joe.
